No idea what that gadget is, but it sounds like it has buggy 3D drivers. The game uses directx, and its directx’s job to talk to the monitor. It sounds like directx + your monitor don’t talk well, the game is oblivious to what hardware is used…
Sorry to bug. Is there any way that I can have an experienced iZ3D user try out the game and see if it is a pure iZ3D compatibility issue, or if it is my particular configuration? I’ve got a thread open in their forum… http://forum.iz3d.com/viewtopic.php?t=1896
[bump] Would it be possible for another iZ3d Gaming Monitor user to be given demo copy and license key to help isolate the error? Or would you rather deal with the iZ3D support team to figure out the incompatibility?
(Is this something I can do myself? Do I need your assistance?)
I’d happily talk to any of their support people about it. The key thing you need is the exact error message, which will be a directx sounding error and it will be in the errors.txt file.
I’ve (unrelated) changed my configuration for the time being. I’m still using the iZ3D drivers in anaglyph mode (red/blue glasses, without the special monitor). It was erroring out when I started the game (which the error message below appear to apply to). Now, when I actually go into battle, it errors out. Here is what errors.txt says:
Unfortunately it doesn’t like that will be much help. Invalidcall is just very nebulous, and could be anything. It sounds like the drivers for this thing are just pretty buggy, are they releasing new ones all the time?
I had the same error as you. Essentially, my rig crashed on me while quitting the game after a resolution change and my config files became empty. From that point on I was getting the same error as yours.
if you are on windows 7 or vista, try deleting the folowing files and restarting the game:
