every time i start the free demo i get this:
D3D ENGINE ERROR
Please check publishers website for tech support Details [setDisplayMode]
is there any way i can fix this and get the game working? 
this is probably either buggy display drivers (you need to update the drivers for your video card, see our support page for details) or your video card is sadly just too old ;(
