I find myself using the post-battle pie charts somewhat infrequently. Instead, I prefer to watch the battle closely to get an idea of what weapon types did well against what hull, which fighter weapons made it past enemy shields, etc etc.
Would it be possible to add a “Weapon Type” toggle to the scrolling damage numbers you see during battles? Even abbreviations would be wonderfully useful, like “CrIon” for Cruiser Ions.
It would really help mid-battle analysis, because it’s a pain in the ass to figure out which “Hull -7” belongs to one fighter squadron’s rockets when you have 10 frigates also shooting at your target.
Come to think of it, a simple damage text color change (by attacking ship class, i.e. frigate, fighter, cruiser) would go a long way.
