I modded the barman file to experiment a bit and ended up becoming an alcoholic complete with bottles on the display. Thing is, even starting a new game, they don’t go away again.
Think the game is trying to tell me something 
I’ve noticed since I patched up from 1.08 to 1.09 that the alcohol effects seem to last longer and it always says I am drunk no matter how many times I try to sleep it off.
