Beta 1.15: Fighter 'stick together' orders & shield failures

Relatively short post here unlike my usual walls of text. Anyway, I seem to recall a development video from waaay back where fighters with ‘stick together’ orders would wait for the whole squadron to launch before flying off from the carrier. Maybe it got cut, but they don’t seem to do that at all in the current build.

Sometimes, I’ll be panning around a battle only to notice one of my cruisers/dreadnoughts is taking damage, but mousing over it informs me that shields are still at full, whereas the hull is dropping like crazy. I could dismiss this as the effect of disruptor bombs, but the shield will not come back up at all over the course of the entire battle. Am I missing something, or is this worth investigating?
