Over the last years bicycles have become more and more popular in the western world and the pandemic has only accelerated this trend as you can see in this article Coronavirus: How pandemic sparked European cycling revolution - BBC News. Cycling is not just something for children, it is a healthy, cheap and convenient way of commuting. And as someone from the Netherlands where the government heavily invests in cycling and where, according to the Dutch Central Bureau of Statistics, about 28% of all trips are made by bike against only 6% of trips being made with trains and busses I feel like cycling is a real competitor as a way of transportation and therefore I think there should be a new simulation for “bicycle usage” in the game. With additional policies like bike lane subsidies, nationwide bicycle highway connections, e-bike subsidies, etc.
