Campaign Cruiser Speed Min for retreat



Just suggested to a new player that he or she use cruisers with engines to help train for the campaign, in which slow cruisers are not a great idea.

I use cruisers that range from .10 to .18; I know the .10’s can retreat successfully…but has anyone done an exact study of exactly where the break is between “fast enough to successfully turn and warp in 2 minutes” and “too slow to successfully retreat” ?



I think 0.10 is the minimum. I’m quite sure that 0.08 doesn’t work, having lost more than a few cruisers. Play it safe with 0.10, you won’t be as sorry.
