is there any way to make a mod to make your ships under your direct control, like a strategy game???

This isn’t really a moddable thing, it’s a part of the core game engine. Basically, if Cliff gives us it then we have it, otherwise we don’t. The sensible money is on not getting it, as it isn’t intended to be the nature of GSB to give you in-battle control.
This is a tactical game, not a RTS, so no, it isnt possible. IF some day that changes, GSB will be no longer GSB.
