Country's starting GDP is always 0

I created a new country, but its starting GDP is always 0, how should I fix?

It changes between 0 and 1, min_gdp and max_gdp are used only to calculate debt ratio.

With only default policies you get tons of situations that lower GDP.

But some countries starting GDP is medium, I want to be like that

There’s no way you can directly set initial values of simulations but you can use some indirect methods.

  1. Adjust Initial Policies) It seems your modded country lacks quite a lot of policies. Consider adding some more to stabilize the simulation. I’d recommend you to take a look at the existing countries. Last time I checked they had a number of policies, varying from 94 to 137.
  2. Add Permanent Modifiers) You can try adding modifiers giving a boost to the GDP. You should be able to find examples at the scripts folder in any missions you can spot at Democracy 4/data/missions/ and learn from one of these.
