Crash - beam sound duplicate

  1. Played Hurtgen Forest, prescripted as defender.
  2. Redesigned a medium machinegun turret.
  3. Started Hurtgen Forest, prescripted as defender.
  4. Placed 6 medium laser turrets for pre-deployment.
  5. Started the level.
  6. About 3 seconds in it crashes with the last message of the error log.

I can’t replicate this, but it is effectively harmless so at the very least I’ll stop it actually crashing the game for tommorows patch.

Hmm… Sounds like what was happening to me in the 1.002 Feedback thread. I was never able to figure out the cause, but it seemed to only happen when there were lots of beam turrets/pulse infantry firing at the same time. How many a “lot” is, I was unable to determine. I haven’t had it happen in a while since I adjusted to using fewer energy weapons and more missiles. I also wasn’t sure it wasn’t the map rather than the weapon effects, but Hurtgen Forest is a different map so that seems to rule that out.
