Is there any way to set up curisers/frigates in a formation as they move into battle ?
Check out the ‘formation’ order.
Have all the (other) ships target your slowest ship, using this order, and they’ll try to keep their position relative to it.
It’s a little clunky, but it essentially works. You can do a few tactical tricks with this. The main drawback is you can’t have the ‘keep moving’ order too, which you’d often want after the formation is disrupted (i.e. the ‘leader’ ship has been killed.)
Thanks for the info. I really didn’t notice it on the interface. I tried it out but I’d really love a bit more control. Don’t get me wrong its fun but I was hoping for something more complex (yet intuitive).
