I could not start the second alliance mission without endless CTD’s, I narrowed down the reason I was crashing to an armored cruiser design I was testing. Something about it makes the game crash in the first and second mission if I try and use it. I have no idea where or if the ship data is accessible, so here is a screen shot. You can work out the fittings from their icon, I imagine.
The second bug that I encountered after dealing with this one involves a crash after fitting my cruisers with fast missles. It has made the game unable to boot up past the initial splash screen. I haven’t reinstalled yet, so we’ll see what happens there.
Besides the bugs, I’m having an awesome time with the game, or I was until it broke. Though I fear I have already discovered a broken fleet that can steamroll through the hardest difficulty, I’ll post more about balance issues once I can get it running again. (hopefully)
