Earning interest on cash reserves?

Great game! I’ve had hours of fun so far…

In much the same way that the government pays interest monthly on its debt, it seems that the government should earn money monthly (albeit at a much lower percentage) off any reserves that it has saved up from budgets wtih a positive cash flow. Is there a way to turn this feature on? Or can it be built into the next revision?
