During a recent game my psychological cure ingredient spawned as this puppy:
I was selling Bipolar treatments for $400 in the early game, completely trivializing the mission.
It might be a good idea to change things; if a cure needs a catalyst to upgrade, that catalyst shouldn’t spawn on the same ingredient.
meh I think the randomness is good. There is enough hand holding in the game as it is in my opinion :p.
Another weird side effect of the random ingredients is that you can keep quitting a mission and restarting until your starting ingredients include the one you need for the mission, thereby removing the need for exploration. I have actually done that a couple of times.
I was really irked by that when it happened to me and I did the same when I saw it. Though with some missions where you need to research for at least 3 years straight, it doesn’t matter that much.
