Ok, so i was rocking 1.4 for a while, and finally decided I had enough time to get into conquest.
Off to RedMarble, handed over my moolah and downloaded the upgrade. Installed, and it would just crash after presenting a full black screen for a few seconds. Maybe my machine wasn’t up to scratch (MacBook 13’" running 10.6)?
So, found my old emails, off to my newer machine (a MacBook Pro - 15" 10.6) with a fresh download (1.56 this time!) that ran that no problems, now to try the upgrade! Installed and broke my GSB. Most upsetting.
I’ve emailed Red Marble, but no response after a few hours…I’m impatient and eager to get my galactic stomp on.
Posting this here because I did some thorough searching, and this seems to be a variation on a theme of a bad update. Once i get a response I’ll update this post with the solution…or some quite bitter vexing at Red Marble.
Anyone have any clues?
Red Marble is on vacation right now, but should still be able to receive your email albeit with a delay (hey, it is vacation). I counsel patience, padawan.
ran the demo …worked great!
I then just paid for and downloaded … Deluxe + galactic addon …
I get exactly the same issue …
mail sent to redmarble, but no response yet … are they still on vacation?
The demo app that I downloaded to test still works … and I did run the deluxe version to register before installing the addon.
but now I can’t get it going at all it all looked soooo promising …

Sorry for the trouble – there is a known issue with the campaign installer, sometimes, which hasn’t been resolved yet. If you’ll send us an email at support-at-redmarblegames -dot- com, we’ll send you a replacement with the campaign built in that will solve the problem.
