I run the game through steam. When I would launch the game it would look like it was launching, then after 5 seconds just stop, and act like I’d never launched the game in the first place.
Rebooting didn’t fix it, but after I reinstalled the game and launched it, suddenly my anti-virus started screaming about “malicious software” called Democracy 4. I now have it cleared up.
If anyone else has this problem, check your anti-virus.
