As I have been playing and building factories and what not, I feel like I am spending a lot of time switching all the machinery to local only, I think it would be pretty cool to have a control office or something similar where you can get an overview of all machinery and what not within the factory where you could possibly set local only for all machinery that has items that you can manufacture.
Not sure if it makes sense, but I think it would be cool.
If the intent is to eventually be able to produce all parts, then yes.
I think a control panel that lists all the slots could include that as well
Having the option to force the production units to only use local only would be good too, so that you could control the imports with use of Stock piles.
this also requires updates to be available on the pre-assembly stations. right now i need about 8 Lights manufacturing stations to provide only the net need of lights for my 40 Cars/H production. its almost impossible to provide full amount, also the manpower cost eats up the gain of producing in house with the massive inefficiency that you build in (3.XX minutes / light) same goes for ALOT of parts currently being made in house
