Am I doing something wrong or is there a difference between the mac and PC graphics of Democracy. And does the mac version have this autoupdater?

I played the demo on PC and bought the game for Mac and the result is not the same. The MAC game seems “unfinished” compared with the PC version.
Regarding the autoupdater, I have no idea yet, I just got the game.
