Not starting/Crash on Steam and iMac

Dear Positech, can you help ?

The game starts and music starts but after a couple of seconds, no further than the intro, the game crashes. I have rebooted, reinstalled, etc. No joy.

Might this be the problem ? requesting achievements from Steam - these ini files do not exist in these locations, as shown in the debug.log:

I FIXED IT !!!

Why ? No idea! How ? Like this:

edit config.txt as follows (i.e. set TRANSITIONS to zero):

OPTIONS_TRANSITIONS = 0.00

What does transitions do ?? But now it no longer crashes !!

transitions are the “fading” effects that happen when moving from one screen in the game to another.

Can you provide details about your graphics hardware? My guess is some OpenGL extension/method isn’t available as the game is expecting.

Wow… rickyroyal, an X1600!! I have 2006 Macbook pro with that card lying around… I’ll go test on it…

I believe I have it fixed now… a new patch will be coming out in the next day or to hopefully… (working with cliff to get any other fixes that need to go in)
