Registering pre-Steam GSB on Steam

Hey,

I bought GSB 2 years ago (on BMT Micro Orders) when it wasn’t on Steam. Is there anyway for me to register this copy on Steam (for Linux) now?

Assuming the creator read this, couldn’t he issue me with a Steam key?

This would be something that I’d be interested in getting also. Since i lot of my freinds play steam maybe seeing how much i play it might get them to buy it also.
