Is it possible to run this game in a window?

if your monitor is set to 1280x1024 or higher it is, you can hold down alt and hit the enter key to toggle it, or change it from the options screen.

so thats why mine gets hinky when I window it… I’m only 1280 x 800 (cursed widescreen!)
