I’ve played this game a bit and it’s pretty fun for what it is, but there are some odd things I’ve noticed about it. The biggest and most obvious one for me was that even when you’re leading a socialist nation of atheists it’s really costly to change the policy for teaching creationism or evolution in schools. It’s odd enough that it always starts out in the middle teaching both, but the cost of changing it is so out of line with everything else that it’s bizarre. It seems to be part of a trend of America-centrism in the game, another sign of which was the fact that patriotism is automatically correlated with being against gun-control.
Things also seem to have effects even when they shouldn’t. For example, I noticed that my cigarette tax was somehow contributing to poverty even when no one in the entire country smoked.
