Being that I work in space, this is something I’ve thought to mention for the game. Kessler Syndrome, or the ablation cascade is the theoretical event illustrated by the film Gravity which many experts are nervous could become increasingly possible as the space industry rapidly expands.
Less dramatic launch failures would also be appropriate.
The solution is international regulations for space sustainability, which would surely hurt the private space sector, and potentially make any goals achieved from space that this game may want to one day model (green bubbles for LEOnet or space mining) more difficult.
