Hi everybody, I bought the beta yesterday and am currently working through it in all its gratuitous beauty. I currently only have the first two races, but I’ve been busy comparing them. So far I’ve worked out one excel file detailing all the Alliance and Rebel fleets. This type of work has helped me identify some interesting details about the two races (which I believe from the initial examination of the data, will require very different types of thinking in fleet building, but I have yet to test this in battle). I can’t really figure out how to get it looking pretty on the real forum page like it looks in my editing version, but I’m going to post it anyway. Here is the data. I will add the other races data when I unlock them. (Using the uber light plasma frigate horde, it shouldn’t take too long)

I also decided to try to make a spider chart of the all this data. Partially inspired by Warning Forever, I think this is the best way to represent the strenghts/weaknesses of the different hulls. I was very lucky to discover an easy online app like thing called amCharts. It is hella easy to use, literally took me five minutes to figure out. This is what I used. extra.amcharts.com/editor/radar/ I had to flub the hardpoint and modules by adding ten to each of the game values to get them to make a proper looking spider chart. As these charts are only around to help understand the game data, it shouldn’t really hurt.
Because each race has fighters, frigates, and cruisers, 3 classes to each race should eventually result in 12 charts. Here is the first. More will follow. Go crazy.
