Survival mode difficulty increases too slowly?

A practically stupid but incredibly cool thing would be to let people design survival combat groups much like they design scenarios, then have each combat group rated on how often it destroys people’s ships in survival mode. A bit of randomising and mix/matching based on how good the battlegroups are and you have an awesome way to create utterly random and (relatively) nicely ramping up survival scenarios. Plus it adds another level of ‘user created’ to the game.

Of course you could be an unlucky person that gets a brand new, kills everything battlegroup before it can be categorised properly, but that’s life.
