World War 2 Scenarios

I am working creating a pack of scenarios inspired by World War 2 naval battles. For ease of installation, I plan to use the existing ship types. So I need to match the historical belligerents with the GSB races.

My first thought is:

UK - Empire
USA - Federation
Germany - Rebels
Japan - Alliance (or The Swarm)
Italians - The Tribe

Any comments. Historically the distinctions between the forces were:

UK: More armor, few fighters
USA: Excellent damage control, poor torpedoes
Germany: Large ships but fewer, no fighters
Japan: Really good torpedoes
Italians: Poor quality ships, no fighters

all i ask is that you make it so that people without ANY expasions can play it please :slight_smile:

This really depends on the Time Setting: (i cant comment on the Japs, But most of there Arms were Based on Germany Arms and the Italians over all weren’t that good in the war, at all)

Early War:
UK: few fighters, expensive, Great Navy
USA: Few Modern Fighters, No Real War effort
Germany: Small Ships (pocket battleships), Best Fighters, Small Ammount

Med War:
UK: More fighters, expensive, Interceptors, Lesser Navy
USA: Lots of Stuff, Funds Pumping into the war effort
Germany: Small Ships (pocket battleships), Best Fighters, Smaller Ammount

Late War:
UK: Lesser Navy, Large Bombers, Longer Ranged Escorts
USA: Focused on Bombing, Large Numbers, Inefficient
Germany: No Real Practical Navy, Or Airforce, The few units left by this stage were either Elite, Or Conscripts
