Zounds Take Two

Here are the rules:

  1. Fleet composition is two groups of fighters ( same build is okay ), nine freighters ( minimum of three different builds ). and four cruisers ( minimum of two different builds ). Using the same build on different hulls defeats the spirit of the challenge. Please don’t.
  2. Each ship is required to have at least one engine.
  3. In the event that a person wishes to enter more than one fleet, subsequent entries must be different races. Once all four races have been used, no further entries may be made by that individual.
  4. The name of the entered challenge is as follows: Zounds Take Two - Your Name
  5. If the game specifies different builds that will be taken to mean different hulls as well. However, in the case where you build more than the minimum number of builds, you may reuse previously used hulls.
    Furthermore, these rules from the first challenge shall apply:
    “6 - To avoid a “race condition”, as soon as someone posts a challenge stating that he can win the Grand Challenge Quest as it is at that moment, you can already post another one that beats all the previous Grand Challenges plus the new one. Then, when that one is checked to be sufficient, yours will be considered the first entry.
    7 - All challenges will have to be in the same scenario. We’ll change scenarios in further Grand Challenge Quest editions.” -Thanshin
  6. This will be play tested at 2.6x. 1x was just too slow.
  7. Post deployment, ships, and a zip of your deployment and ships on this thread.

Your fleet has 11 frigates, not 9 (and they are frigates, not freighters - the latter is not something I ever want to fly into combat :stuck_out_tongue: ). Does that mean we can field a minimum of 2 fighter groups, 9 frigates, and 4 cruisers?

Fixed. That’ll teach me to do crap before a cup of coffee.

The 2,9, and 4 are the maximum numbers of ships. 1, 3, and 2 are the minimum number of builds. So two goups of fighters with at least 1 build. 9 frigates with at least three different types. 4 cruisers with at least 2 different types.
