FWIW, you can make the modules appear wherever you like, and place the hardpoints on the ship. The location of the module effectively is the hardpoint. So for UI reasons, you might move them out a bit, if the actual turrets themselves are bunched up.

Is the error when the fire?
Maybe you have not put “battleship_heavybeamlaser.ogg” into the game’s original “sounds” directory

If you modify the hull of the slot, you need to remove the old design documents

If that does not work, modify the length and width of 650 and 250

If the final does not work, I have no way to solve this problem

dude, i’ve modified the length to 5x5 to try to fix this problem! still didn’t work, so i highly doubt that’s the problem. and the game freezes right when the ship should come into view! I put the “battleship_heavybeamlaser.ogg” in the sounds directory, and anyway, the game freezes and this is the error in the errors.txt:

and i modified the hull text fie before i even made ANY designs on that damn ship! sorry, but none of those fixes do the fix! D:<

Hopefast, I applaud the patience and hard work you’ve invested in this gargantuan and amazing hull! I must reluctantly admit that it’s really hard to fully make use of. Having modules far out of reach of the clickable range of the ship-design window makes a modder like me feel all sad and blue. :frowning: I want to enjoy the “Bellator” to the fullest, but in its present form that’s simply not possible. I humbly suggest that it needs some conceptual changes before it can be fully playable.

At times like this, I really, really wish that hull content within the ship-design window was scrollable vertically and horizontally. A pity that hulls have to conform to this artifical limitation of the GUI. [-deep sigh-]

I’m impressed with many of the modules and weapons you’ve bundled with the “Bellator”. I have tweaked the specs of many of them to keep them “awesome” while not straying into “game-breaking”. For the off-the-scale benefits that many of them confer, their power requirements and costs seemed too low to me. A few of them had potentially damaging errors in the textfiles; for example, one module had two guiname fields instead of one, and at least one module had an illegal character at the beginning of a line. There may be other issues that I simply haven’t smoked-out yet.

I wonder if any of these subtleties are what’s causing Hybrinoid so much frustration right now? While both cool and annoying at the same time, I was able to fly the “Bellator” when he could not. I know we’re both running Crossover 8 on a Mac. I wish I could help him.

theTwiz, I would fade the sharpening somewhat. A final result roughly halfway between the two images you shared would, to my eye, look superior to both examples. Disclaimer: I’m a commercial printer.

hmm… i wonder if it would work on large maps… so far, i’ve only tested it on the tutorial map. it probably won’t work, but it’s worth a try… BTW there were two extra .dds files, and they were unnecessary, as far as i can tell. but removing them didn’t make a difference. :frowning: EDIT: it works! now i just have to keep pushing it to see what modules i can equip on it, and how many… i’m just glad it works! :smiley: EDIT AGAIN: happiness has been diminished. whenever i make it so it’s actually useful, it ends up freezing again. perhaps i should tone down the bonuses? i will try.

a question for hopefast: how did you do the damage skin? i’m horrible at creating original graphics, but did you copy and paste it onto the hull, or spend hours working on it from scratch?
