If you beat a mission in expert mode without completing normal or hard mode, it doesn’t unlock the next mission.

I noticed that too. I did a mission on Hard mode instead of Normal by accident, and I had to do it again to unlock the next one. Of course, having just beat it on the next setting up, I just loaded my same deployment again and pressed “Fight”.
