In the new video, it shows a coalition. How would it affect the gameplay?

Basically coalitions reduce the amount of political capital you get, but they then make offers to you regularly to give you more political capital IF you implement policy changes that they want (and which you do not want…). If you are in a very equal coalition, your capital from the majority will be super-low, and you will have to give in to them a lot to get almost anything done.
