I beg for hit-location.

Do the damage appear on ship modules where the projectiles hit or do they appear generically as hitpoints fall?

Imagine how much greater Gratuitous Space Battles would be if you could do that? It doesn’t have to happen exactly where the hit goes, but just like now, on that larger part. But if the damage would show per hit, then the game would remind people of classic arcade shooters, where there were guns and ships on the ground and you just hit the fire button as fast as you could.

And a whole new area of pleasure and tactical depth would open up, just in support of the game concept as it is.

I’m also in favor of this. BTW have you ever played Star Wars: Empire at War? Because the space battles in that game also use this technique.
