Frigate destruction slowdown on low-end systems

Having tested this on a variety of computers at varying levels of power I’ve found only one problem with low end systems (brilliant job on the optimising there).

The problem is this: On the lowest end of the spectrum the game still runs perfectly, until a friendly frigate is destroyed, at which point it suffers massive lag. Friendly cruisers exploding cause no problems, and any enemy ships also dont cause lag when exploding, it’s just friendly frigates. I bring this up because it’s a weird thing to be happening and may be indicative of something else going on, not because it’s a major problem.
