Hi:
I don’t have photoshop. I draw a bitmap file and then
convert .bmp to .dds by a freeware. But if I set
the background as black, the black backgound shows
up too in policy icon; if I set the background as white,
then policy icon is completely white. So how should
I choose the color for background?

doing alpha channels for a dds is a pain, I can do it in photoshop, but not sure how to do it in any other program. but basically you need to an an alpha channel where white is what you want to see, and black is transparent. You might be able to do it in paintshop pro, but I’m sure there are some freeware editors that support alphas in a dds?
