While planing for the future i had researched the body optimization so i was placing each individual cell and leaving room for paint separation. however the conveyor stops if there are several spaces of just conveyor belt after a cell. it appears it cant find the next cell so it shuts down. i have a save if needed.

if i understand correctly, this is deliberate. A car will not leave a slot until it has found the next slot to head to.
i have all slots placed but there is extra room between entry and exit.
