I think it would be really nice, and quite flavoursome, to have modules that are specific to a certain race. So far I haven’t seen anything like this, but Empire-grade shielding, or rebel fighter bombs, or somesuch, could really give the races some extra differentiation.
Plus it would be wonderful for modding other races.
Already in - there are ac ouple of Alliance only modules.

Although there are some Race specific modules, more would be great. I’m definitely in favor of Imperiel Shields, but you gotta love the Alligence Lightening Weapons.
