I like using sliders to adjust orders, but the process of assigning and changing orders seems a little clunky to me. Perhaps it could all be be done in one window (offset slightly to the right so that your entire fleet is in view as there are currently no orders that require you to click on the enemy fleet AFAIK) with a list of current orders with sliders you can change without opening anything else, and a list of available orders on the other side. Click an available order and without opening another window (maybe a drop down menu or an additional section of the orders menu?) you can adjust the sliders and set a target and then use a confirm order button on the bottom. The player clicks the confirm order button and the order appears on their current order list, but the window stays open so that the player could then create and modify many orders without opening and closing 10 windows and moving the mouse from one end of the screen to the other several times in doing so.
Even though the sliders are visible on the left, which is good, we still have to click an order to change it anyway - being able to select a ship and then open and close the orders menu with a hotkey (“o”, maybe?) would make the whole process a lot smoother. Definitely keep current orders visible on the left though, it’s nice to be able to tell at a glance what’s what.
