So, I bought the game directly from here about two months back. I just recently got Steam and have been wanting to get Democracy 3 on Steam, but I don’t have a Steam key for it. According to this message on the screen to buy the game directly,
“Buy the game!
Democracy 3 is now on sale! Buyers of the game direct from us (the developers) get DRM-free download links to PC, Mac and Linux builds of the game, as well as a ‘steam-key’ to redeem on steam. You can also buy from GoG or Steam,”
buying the game directly also come with a Steam key, but I’ve spent the past half hour scouring through my Democracy 3 folder and haven’t been able to find one. I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong, or what, but I figured that I would ask here about it.
The steam key would most likely be in the email you received when you purchased the game. It would not have been installed with the game.
