Combining weapon effects/Special weapons


I was looking at weapon stats, and they seem pretty easy to modify as long as you keep things similar to what is in the game. How about stuff that doesn’t currently exist? For example, a missile that, once in range, fires a laser? Or a laser that pushes ships back instead of doing damage?

If you have any documentation, even internal documentation, it would be greatly apprecaited.

That would require new code from me, sadly, but I intend to make that sort of stuff more doable, once I get time to work on moddability
