Hi,
I get following message at startup:
./Democracy3.bin.x86_64: error while loading shared libraries: libpng12.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
ldd Democracy3.bin.x86_64
confirmes that only libpng12 is missing.
I use Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, x86_64 kernel: 4.15.0-50-generic
As workaround I use a VM and manually install libpng12 as follows:
- Download libpng12 source from: https://sourceforge.net/projects/libpng/files/libpng12/1.2.59/libpng-1.2.59.tar.gz/download
apt install zlib1g-dev
- Within libpng-source folder run
./configure
- run
make check
- run
sudo make install
- renew somehow your environment, i rebooted but there are more elegand ways to do that I guess
There were the threads I got the needed information from:
- https:// forums. positech. co. uk/t /bug-linux-amd64-missing-libpng-1-2/6034
(the second link i masked, since your forum prevent me to make 2 links?
But I would appreciate an actual fix to that
Best Regards!
