Instead of having to wait for a loan to be payed off, if you have the money you can pay back the loan. Now obviously you would pay back the remaining balance including their interest rates.
I agree with this - perhaps, more to the point, you should be able to pay off extra principal a la an ordinary loan.

Would be great, Transport Tycoon had this option where you could pay it off in 20k increments. I would like that.
