While I’m playtesting that campaign stuff I’ve noticed and fixed a few other issues. One of the main ones is this:
Right now fighters will return to refuel if they have only 2,000 meters (pixels) of travel available at their current fuel level. I’m changing that so they actually calculate the distance to the nearest carrier, and only turn around when they are in danger of running low before they make it back (running on reduced speed).
This means short-range fighters will no longer turn around and refuel prematurely, and fighters with low ranges are now more sensibly viable.
Ship tooltips now display 0 for shield strength if that shield is disrupted, meaning it makes mroe sense when checking out enemy ships whose shields you have dropped.
