Darker/less saturated color choices

Would it be possible to implement a color picker or HSB sliders to choose the colors of our custom ships?

At the very least, could we get an expanded palette with some colors that have lower saturation and brightness? Right now our only choices are highly saturated and frankly they make the ships look pretty cartoonish, unless you go with very dark colors. And then all your ships look kind of muddy, which becomes boring on its own.

This is an interesting point. A bit too late for initial release, but an expanded / varied color picker that worked a different way is certainly something I’d like to find time to work on post-release.
