Pilots/Cost vs Honour?

I’ve been having great fun playing this game, and maybe I’m missing something, but I’m unsure how pilots/cost equates to honour. Is there some simple relationship between these? Is it better to reduce cost alone for a fleet to get a better score, does pilot count factor into this at all?

Pilots don’t affect honour at all - it’s purely down to cost. The less credits you spend, the higher your score will be.
