You should make that challenge as there aren’t enough of those already.
No shields, no armor, really, why, is it purely a speed/structure tank?

I used to do this in MP co-op TA by Cavedog, send out cirtain units vs different forces to get the measure of them, yes I could look at the stats … but thats boring.
I got a large chunk of my honour by using tribe cruisers with no shields or armour and 3-4 repair modules and specialising in certain weponary, like a laser cruiser with 6 of the green lasers (fast fire and for taking out frigates and fighters)
the plasma cruisers set to short range were v.cool as they wouldn’t miss much and tear opposing fleets apart paired up with point defence/guidence scrambler/tractor B modules and a ton of fighters and I was getting 6-10k honor
I found honor scoring a bit random to be honest… sometimes I get 50, then the next time I got 10 thousand…
I think it depends on the difference you increased over the last time you scored/played the mission.
for example if you score 100h and play the mission again using 50less cost you’d get 50h for the win.
pilots used are also figured in there somewhere methinks.
can someone who knows better explain using laymans terms and not go in depth on the maths like some of the other threads have :o)

I think the pilot stat is only another limitation on how many ships you can have, in general so you don’t overpower the missions with sheer concentrations of rebel laser fighters.

The Honour value of a deployment is the amount of cost used below the maximum spend. This figure is shown in the top right.
The Honour actually gained if you succeed, is the difference between this amount and your previous best. You can see your best by mousing over the difficulty labels on the mission selection screen.
Pilots used / available has no effect at all. It’s just based on cost.
The moral of the story is: Don’t pay your fighter pilots unless they come back alive…
