When I reload a save several times in quick succession, the game sometimes goes weirdly out of wack. For example, I reloaded right before a job interview for a newspaper reporter job several times. The last time I reloaded, after interviewing for the newspaper job I was offered a job as a physicist – for which I wasn’t even qualified to apply. The friend who then called to congratulate me was a white woman, but the portrait that went with her message was a black man. And when I clicked on my bike to go cycling I instead went to church!
The first time this happened I was terrified, but it turned out the savegames aren’t permanently corrupted. They can be fixed simply by exiting the game completely and then restarting instead of just reloading from the menu.
