Thinking here being to capture the role culture and individuals play in gender equality outside of government policy- liberals are at the very least less likely to discriminate based on gender, since the game thinks they find gender inequality offensive in the first place.

It’d also make Gender Equality much easier to achieve. Right now, once you maxed out a few laws like Abortion Laws, Child Care Benefits and Provisions, and Gender Discrimination Act, it can’t be increased more after, aside of random events occasionally pushing it up, but it still remains available as a promised thing to increase. That seems quite weird.

In game, liberals are a mix of the stereotypical liberal and the stereotypical libertarian, so it fuses different aspects of cultural liberalism. It’s likely that some liberals, atleast defined in game would oppose positive action and only stand for legal equality.
It is an interesting point… maybe an effect only once liberals have reached a critical mass of maybe 75% plus?
But yup, we include libertarianism in with liberalism. In theory you could totally respect the freedom of companies (for example) to choose not to hire women.
Then it should also apply to the race discrimination act.
Speaking of which Race & Gender discrimination acts can confuse people if their descriptions aren’t read, maybe they could be named to something more obviously anti-discriminatory?
