Firearm Laws affects Armed Communities twice!

Also I got crash

Can’t replicate crash…
But “Failed to find Neuron” happens when you keep rightclicking Firearm Laws in Armed Communities situation (USA).

It seems like you aren’t checking, if something already affects something, because rubber bullets, tear gas and water cannons affects Luddite Riots twice - I reported it in 1.24

Sometimes policy affecting simulation is in simulation or in policy CSV file…

It seems like Press Freedom should be displayed inversely there…

Thanks I will look into this…

I found unused policy sliders - they belonged to policies, that aren’t in this game.
directdemocracy - DISTRICT VOTES REGIONAL VOTES FEDERAL STATE VOTES REFERENDUM REQUESTS CONSTITUTIONAL CHANGES

extinctspecies - CHICKEN BREEDS CATTLE BREEDS PIG BREEDS MONKEYS AND APES DODOS VELOCIRAPTORS T-REX

languages - FOREIGN BUSINESS LANGUAGE MULTIPLE FOREIGN LANGUAGES

research - LABORATOR EQUIPMENT SCIENTIFIC PERSONNEL SPONSORED PROFESSORSHIP RESEARCH INSTITUTE

retirementdisclosure - PUBLIC PENSION CALCULATOR STATE PENSION INDEX OPEN INDIVIDUAL RETIREMENT ACCOUNTS PUBLIC PRIVATE PENSION ACCOUNTS LIFELONG INCOME INDEX

They should be deleted, since its unused, also its waste of translator time.

“extinctspecies - CHICKEN BREEDS CATTLE BREEDS PIG BREEDS MONKEYS AND APES DODOS VELOCIRAPTORS T-REX” I wonder what brought that on

It was policy in one of the Democracy 3 expansions where you could bring back extinct animals.

Ah thanks, I forgot all about that

Can religious tax increase Charity simulation value?
Religious tax is meant to be spent on charities according to description.

Game still treats date as number while writing it down to debug.txt
[14:49:0:622] instead of [14:49:00:622]

There is typo in opposites.ini - is this file even used?
Liberal = Conservatives
Conservative = Liberal

Also Driverless Cars situation is disabled for very long time now.
It used to be triggerable.

Messing around country, that went too far with fiscal conservatism.

Flat Income tax doesn’t decrease GDP unlike Income Tax.

This effect is messed - its flat line.

Looks like you left out translations of long removed game options :wink:

CUST_OPTION_EARTHQUAKES= Trzęsienia ziemi
CUST_OPTION_HURRICANES= Huragany
CUST_OPTION_MONARCHY= Monarchia

Actually it is! But only relatively harmlessly, but the code that picks out speech snippets and who they affect. But I will fix it. Thanks for the spot!

[1.26 (in development)]

  1. Removed duplicate effect from firearms laws to armed religious communities.
  2. Removed duplicate impacts on luddite riots.
  3. Fixed some harmless debug warnings about missing neurons.

Good point on the press freedom thing. this had not occurred to me, but yes it should be inverted! (fixing now)

  1. Intel readouts are now inverted for situations where a policy reduces security effectiveness, such as Press Freedom.
  2. Fixed error where a total ban on handguns actually reduced security, instead of boosting it. Ooops.

It actually directly affects the targets of the tax instead, which i think makes more sense, because it shows that this is government-designated spending (in that its enforced) rather than discretionary

yeah thats super weird as they are definitely removed in English…not sure how the translator ended up with those :frowning:

Somehow you gave them outdated strings.ini?
Its in all translations except base English one.

I think immigration and illegal immigration should increase Religious population:
They usually come from more religious country.

This way you always would have at least very small religious voter group.

Yeah, military spending is one of most expensive policies
Theoretical max - if all expenses increasing factors are at maximum.
For Healthcare, there is default of 0.59… How are those exactly calculated?

Policy Cost Theoretical Max
MilitarySpending 5037,5 5541,25
SchoolVouchers 5400 5400
StateSchools 5400 5940
OilDrillingSubsidy 8025 8025
HealthcareVouchers 9000 8995,14
StateHealthService 9000 8995,14
StatePensions 9250 13764

So you can’t have all most expensive policies at once.
Unless you don’t care about debt crisis or tax evasion.

UBI should be definitely most expensive there!
USA has 209 000 000 adults. $1000 per month per adult would be $627 000 million per quarter, or $627 billion per quarter.
In game for USA at 100% difficulty its $164 billion.
So it maxed out its measly $203 per month.

On flip side when maxed out it increases everyone income by $16 000 per quarter at max.
This is 5280 bln per quarter. (16 000 * 330 000 000 million) - one of most expensive policies.

By the way it would be nice to see expenditure and income as percentage of GDP.
Effectively you could see economic size of state.

Ha, wow. that looks like UBI is totally and utterly wrong… (it should be realistic)
I should take another look at the numbers.

You could see if min/max cost/income are sensible for ALL policies.

PrisonRegime can be inverted so at 0 is least costly
Why SateliteRoadPricing is less costly when its maxed out?

You can also check if income values are sensible.

Yes there are lots of things I should check and possibly adjust now I can do inverted effects and extra variables…will take a while. UBI is way more expensive in the next update.
